About Rock & Soar
Founded by creatives Monica Polonio & Alison Smith and supported by an incredible team of product engineers, makers and craftspeople in the UK, Rock & Soar began their journey in early 2022 with the intention to challenge the industries perception of 'what is luxury.'
With a bold and daring approach to colour, texture and material, the duo's ambition is to produce artworks that are thought-provoking, high-quality and environmentally conscious with their wonderful artistic community.
How it’s done: a celebration of true craftsmanship
The work is often inspired by discoveries within nature and science, to allow the audience to take a moment of consideration to observe details of life that they may not have been conscious of before. From intricate cellular formations to a moment of a chemical reaction, Rock & Soar endeavours to build on a celebration of energy and movement throughout every piece.
Discovery with materials
With a combined 16 years working in the luxury industry, the Directors have met a variety of exquisite makers who have become great friends over the years. From acrylic casters to glassblowers and metalworkers, they share a passion for experimentation with an attitude of infinite possibilities, allowing Rock & Soar's most wonderful ideas to blossom.
