A deconstructed exo-skeletal brass framework is encapsulated within optically clear cast acrylic to fossilise the beauty and intricate evolution of the arthropod conformation.
ABOUT
Complimenting the delicate acrylic components are an array of minimal illuminated halos, giving resemblance to the concentric eyelet patterns which have evolved on insects as an illusion of their identity.
The combination of clear acrylic wings with the halo light units, makes Chitinous a very special sculptural lighting piece which is both decorative and functional.
